He was predeceased by: his parents, John Jacob and Augusta Molck (Clausen); his son-in-law Rick Painter; and his brothers, Wilbur, Ronald and Gene.
He is survived by: his wife Connie; his daughters, Jan Alvis (Jeff) of Bloomington, Sue Paxton (Gregg) of McLean and Mary Painter of Normal, Illinois; his grandchildren, Nick Alvis, Jessie Alvis (Clayton Zell), Alex Alvis (Jaimee), Zak Paxton (Stephie), Ryne Paxton (Candi), Eric Ummel and Wes Ummel (Ashley); and his great grandchildren, Jaxxon, Preslee, Evie, Bodin, Aiden, Gage, Jake, Maddie, Logan and Payton. He is also survived by his family and the many friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Our Saviour Lutheran Church in Normal, Illinois, or to a charity of the donor's choice.
