He was predeceased by: his wife Maria; his children, Maria Carmine DiRutigliano and Vincenzo Letizia; his parents, Domenico Letizia and Maria Carmine Letizia; and his siblings, Maria Piscopo (late Antonio), Giulia Lettieri (Vincenzo), Andrea Letizia (Rita) and Liborio Letizia (Rosetta).

He is survived by: his children, Teresa Pacilio (Vincenzo), Domenico Letizia, Cuono Letizia, Andrea Letizia, Massimo Letizia (Roger Craine) and Julia Letizia; his grandchildren, Nello, Giovanna, Maria Lucia Bavuso (Joseph), Carmine, Vincenzo, Gianna, Franco and Sofia; his great grandchildren, Dominique, Giuliana, Isabella, John Jr., Mia, Leia, Mateo, Franco, Gianna, Joseph Jr., Leonardo and Serafina; his great great grandchild Elias; and his sister Rosa (late Pietro Braconi).

Visitation was held on Sunday, November 30th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Cumberland Chapels (8300 W Lawrence Ave, Norridge, IL 60706). A funeral service was held on Monday, December 1st 2025 at 9:00 AM at the same location. A Mass was held on Monday, December 1st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Vincent Ferrer Church (1530 Jackson Ave, River Forest, IL 60305). A burial was held on Monday, December 1st 2025 at 11:45 AM at the Queen of Heaven Catholic Cemetery (1400 S Wolf Rd, Hillside, IL 60162).
