He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Gonke and Anne Gonke; and his brother Robert Gonke (Barbara). He is survived by: his wife Lucy Gonke; his children, Anthony Gonke (La'Trice) and Annie Capotosto (Joseph); his grandchildren, Ashley Mintun (Jeremy), Nicole Pourchot (Casey) and Devin Torkelsen; and his great grandchildren, Emilia, Elijah and Colter.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 1st 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Cumberland Chapels (8300 W Lawrence Ave, Norridge, IL 60706). Viewing will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 at 10:30 AM at the St. Eugene Church (7958 W Foster Ave, Chicago, IL 60656). An entombment will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 at the All Saints Cemetery (700 N River Rd, Des Plaines, IL 60016).
