With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Irinea Carreon Abdon (Norridge, Illinois), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 6, 2025 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Irinea departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Irinea may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Irinea leaves behind.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Segundina Abaya and Clemente Abaya; and her siblings, Ernesto, Manuel Abaya and Nena Tandoc.
She is survived by: her children, Ludy, Sylvia and Armando Abdon, Jr.; and her siblings, Clemente and Susan.
Visitation was held on Friday, July 18th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Cumberland Chapels (8300 W Lawrence Ave, Norridge, IL 60706). Viewing was held on Saturday, July 19th 2025 at 9:00 AM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, July 19th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Eugene Church (Queen of Peace Parish) (7958 W Foster Ave, Chicago, IL 60656). A burial was held on Saturday, July 19th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Maryhill Cemetery (8600 N Milwaukee Ave, Niles, IL 60706).
