He was predeceased by: his wife Kitty Freeman Jacobs; his children, Michael Jacobs (Elizabeth) and Gina Alterson (late Howard); and his siblings, Gwen Chandler Alumbaugh, Leslie Jacobs (Joan) and Lois Jacobs.
He is survived by: his children, Scott Jacobs, Lynne Hall, Stephen Jacobs (Connie) and James L. Jacobs.
