Jesus Avila Obituary

We announce the death of Jesus Avila (Norridge, Illinois), who passed away on October 15, 2026, at the age of 66. Jesus will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Cecelio Avila and Eugenia Avila; and his siblings, Delfina Tutaj (Henry), Eugenio Avila, Raul Avila (Margaret) and Angelica Avila.

He is survived by: his sons, Nicholas "Nick" Avila (Emily) and Benjamin "Ben" Avila (Haley); his granddaughter Cecilia James Avila; and his siblings, Maria Aguirre (German), Jose "Joe" Avila (Betty), Lilia Kuszynski (Louis), Ciriaco "Cid" Avila, Sebastian Avila, Eugenia "Gina" Gamboa (Jack), Esperanza "Hope" Rios (Carlos) and Marcelina "Marcy" Avila.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, October 21st 2026 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Cumberland Chapels (8300 W Lawrence Ave, Norridge, IL 60706). A funeral service was held on Thursday, October 22nd 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A Mass was held on Thursday, October 22nd 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Immaculate Conception Church (7211 W Talcott Ave, Chicago, IL 60631). A burial was held on Thursday, October 22nd 2026 at the Maryhill Catholic Cemetery (8600 N Milwaukee Ave, Niles, IL 60714).
