He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Barbara; his children, Katarzyna Skruch (Robert) and Kamil Kolpa; his granddaughter Olivia Skruch; and his siblings, Elizabeth Gierlach (John), Jozefa Kotapka (Zbigniew), Marta Noga (late Bogdan) and Barbara Dudek (Tadeusz).
