It is with sadness that the passing of Maria Heska (Norridge, Illinois) is shared. Maria, born on August 11, 1936, passed away on October 11, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Kazimierz Heski; her parents, Jozef Gawin and Zofia Gawin; and her sisters, Zofia Smola (Adam) and Eugenia Janus (Stanislaw).
She is survived by: her children, Joanna Gadomski (Henryk), Marta Koczwara (Ryszard) and Krzysztof Heski (Malgorzata); her grandchildren, Magdalena Kruszynski (Filip), Martyna Szyller (Patrick), Paulina Gadomski, Julita Gadomski, Anna Gadomski, Konrad Koczwara (Monika), Kamil Koczwara and Daniel Heski; her great grandchildren, Antoni, Zofia, Karol, Stella, Oskar, Pola, Adam and Victoria; and her siblings, Adam Gawin (Zofia) and Anna Frankowska (late Jan).
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 18th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Cumberland Chapels (8300 W Lawrence Ave, Norridge, IL 60706). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 19th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A Mass will be held on Monday, October 19th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St. Monica Catholic Church (5136 N Nottingham Ave, Chicago, IL 60656).
