It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Mary L Harjung (Norridge, Illinois), who passed away on November 27, 2025, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Michael W. Harjung (Mike); and her siblings, Saverio Schiro (Estelle), George Schiro (late Frances), Frances Koukios (late George) and Joseph Schiro.
She is survived by: her children, JoAnn Harjung, Michael J. Harjung (Vicky) and George Harjung (Nancy); her grandsons, Michael J. Jr., Mathew and Joshua (Audrey); her great grandchildren, Aiden and Hanna; and her brother Vito Schiro (Myrna).
Visitation was held on Friday, December 5th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Cumberland Chapels (8300 W Lawrence Ave, Norridge, IL 60706). A Mass was held on Friday, December 5th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Immaculate Conception Church (7211 W Talcott Ave, Chicago, IL 60631). A burial was held on Friday, December 5th 2025 at the Mt. Carmel Cemetery (1400 S Wolf Rd, Hillside, IL 60162).
