She was predeceased by: her husband John; and her parents, Anna Melnyk and Theodor Melnyk. She is survived by: her children, Johanna Senyk (George), Christine Garnello (John), John Kosar (Jean Eckstrom) and Sonia Kosar (Walter Kocur); her grandchildren, Kathryn (Dan Zwolinski), Andrew Senyk, Anna Feygin (Alex), Emilia DeBlasio (Nick), Alexa Madden (John), Angelina Herrenbruck (Luke), Daniel Kosar (Justyna Koscielniak) and Maxsym Kocur; and her great grandchildren, Lena, Brooklyn, Tessa, Jeremy, Willow and Remi.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 11th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Cumberland Chapels (8300 W Lawrence Ave, Norridge, IL 60706). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, October 11th 2026 at 4:00 PM and on Monday, October 12th 2026 at 9:30 AM at the same location. A Mass will be held on Monday, October 12th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the St. Joseph Ukrainian Catholic Church (5000 N Cumberland Ave, Chicago, IL 60656). A burial will be held on Monday, October 12th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at the St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Cemetery (8851 W Higgins Rd, Chicago, IL 60631).
