He was loved and cherished by many people including : his wife Diane Pankow (Potter); his sons, Greg (Maureen) and Steven; his grandchildren, Bradley Pankow (Mary), Lindsey Pankow, Samantha and Brianna; and his great grandchild Madison Pankow.

Visitation was held on Friday, May 3rd 2024 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Cumberland Chapels (8300 W Lawrence Ave, Norridge, IL 60706). A prayer was held on Friday, May 3rd 2024 at 10:30 AM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Friday, May 3rd 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Queen of Peace Church (St. Eugene Church) (7958 W Foster Ave, Chicago, IL 60656).
