He was predeceased by: his parents, Dorothy Wasserstrom and Abraham Wasserstrom; and his brother Charles Wasserstrom. He is survived by: his wife Roberta "Bobbie" Fabielli; his children, Austin M. Smiley (Jennifer) and Schina Stewart; his sister Florence Hamer (Paul); and his siblings-in-law, Robert Fabielli (Patty O'Hara), Joanne Martin (late Roger Muelling) and Mary Fabielli.
