He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Filippo and Maria Concetta DeFranco; his siblings, Carmen, Guiseppe, Gildo, Antonio and Teresa Granata; his wife Rachele; his children, John Pietro (Mary), Maria Teresa (Barry) and Filomena; his grandchildren, Vincenzo (Diana), Lauren, Nicole, Skyla, Janel (Salvatore), Maclin, John Luke and Michael Thayer; his great grandchildren, Rayleigh and Ronin; and his brothers, Salvatore (Carmelina), Mario and Ottavio (Carmelina). He was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.
