David E. Briscoe Obituary
With sadness, we share the passing of David E. Briscoe of Norris City, Illinois. David, born on August 9, 1940, passed away on September 3, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James Briscoe and Elizabeth Rita "Betty" Briscoe (Uebinger); his wife Nancy J. Joyce; his children, Dale Wayne Broadway, Dion Patrick Broadway and Allen Webb; and his brothers, Richard Cunningham and Jim Uebringer.
He is survived by: his children, Lori Gross (Henry) of Omaha, Doug Broadway (Lisa) of Shelton, WA, Shanon Zinzilieta (John) of Benton, IL, Tonya Pearce (Brent) of Norris City, Scott and Shannon Briscoe; his sister Sue Lowe (Bing) of Lockhart, TX; and his friend Tim Gholson. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, September 14th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Campbell Funeral Home (201 E Main St, Norris City, IL 62869). A funeral service was held on Monday, September 14th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in David's memory to Plainview General Baptist Church or SIH Cancer Institute and will be accepted at Campbell Funeral Home in Norris City or by mail to 609 W. Main St., Carmi, IL 62821.
