He was predeceased by: his parents, Stephen Harrell and Elizabeth "Betty" Harrell (Land); and his stepchildren, Michelle Mulikey and James Mulikey. He is survived by: his wife Sharon; his children, Kimberly Guinn, Mary Clark and Stephen Harrell; his stepson Russell Mulikey, Jr. (Sandra Van Beek); and his grandchildren, Hailey Mulikey, Alyssa Finn, Makynli Ball, Cash Guinn, Stevie, Edward, Artie Harrell, Sean Flanagan and Katie Oliver. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
