Norma Batteese Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Norma Batteese of Norris City, Illinois, who passed away on March 28, 2025, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Emeart Elvis and Donna Mae James (Frymire); her husband James L. Batteese; her sons, Michael, Thomas and James Albert Batteese; and her siblings, Leon James, Donald James, Cleatus James, Verda Shepard, Daisy O'Neal and Donna Cox.
She is survived by: her daughters, Deborah Goodman (Junior) of Farmersburg, IN and Sherry York (Jim Fry) of Hatfield, AR; and her niece Katie Shephard. She is also survived by seven grandchildren; several great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Norma's memory to Coins for Cancer.
