With sadness, we share the passing of William B. Edwards of Norris City, Illinois. William, born on November 25, 1926, passed away on October 13, 2026. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of William B. Edwards to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Grover Edwards and Elizabeth Edwards (Bruce); his wife Laura; and his sisters, Ruby Stroz and Maria Flannagan.
He is survived by: his sons, Bruce Edwards of Norris City and Dennis Edwards (Debbie) of Newton, IL; his grandchildren, Jason Edwards, Lindsey Edwards, Melissa Stanley, Jeffery Edwards and Melanie Thomas; and his sisters, Jeannie Tantlinger and Norma Olsen. He is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, October 19th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM at the Ditney Ridge Baptist Church (750 County Rd 500 E, Norris City, IL 62869). A funeral service was held on Monday, October 19th 2026 at 12:30 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Jack's memory to Ditney Ridge Baptist Church.
