He was predeceased by: his parents, Truman Norman and Abigail Van Norman (Yack); his siblings, Sarah, Richard and Timothy Van Norman; and his sister-in-law Ann Van Norman.

He is survived by: his wife Sondra Van Norman (Hampton); his children, Lauri Bogart (Robert) of Glen Rock, William Van Norman (Barbara) of Sheridan and Robert Van Norman of Martinez, California; his grandchildren, Ryne (Brittany), Christy Bogart, Bradley, Brian and Blake Van Norman; his siblings, Daniel, Mark, Peter Van Norman (Ruby), Mary Applebee (Earl), Jane Van Norman and Beth Kuchler; and his sister-in-law Peggy Van Norman (Molly Van Norman). He is also survived by relatives and friends.
