He was predeceased by: his parents, William Jesse and Josephine Agnes Stroud (Laird); his daughter Lisa Dawn Stroud; his sister Mary Ruth Murphy; his brothers-in-law, Ralph Murphy and Jake Scherer; and his close friend Lou Ann Jenkins.
He is survived by: his children, Terry Lee Stroud (Lily) of Yorkville, Illinois and Kathy Eisenreich (Rob) of North Aurora, Illinois; his grandchildren, Nicole Ann Gillham (Jeff), Timothy Wayne Allen (Shayla) of Sycamore and Bailey Jean Stroud of Alton, Illinois; his great grandchildren, Joseph Edwards, Charlotte Gillham, Paisley Allen and Kenzie Allen; and his sister Barbara "Mable" Davis (Larry). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made in Johnie's honor to the American Heart Association.
