He is survived by: his wife Mary Jane; his children, Elizabeth Holtzman (David) and Michael Murphy, Jr.; his grandson Bennett Murphy Holtzman; his stepmother Marie Murphy; and his siblings, Carrie Feehan (Patrick), Bob Murphy (Wendy), Meg Lincoln (Mark) and Jane Devine (Don). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
