He was predeceased by: his brother Steven; his parent Robert Appel (Eleanor); and his nephews, Jordan Hanosh and Christopher Appel. He is survived by: his wife Jayne Appel (Zabka); his son Bryan K (Katie); his grandchildren, Gavin and Kiera; his nieces and nephews, Michelle White (Jon), Michael Kallevik (Tiffany), Matthew Appel (Stephanie), Steven Kallevik, Robert Hanosh (Nicole), Davis Appel (Maritza) and Rose Heck (Logan); Annette Appel Kallevik, Michael Appel (Janice), Susan Hanosh (Daniel) and Bryan W. Appel (Diane). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 5th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the Moss Family Funeral Home - Batavia (209 S Batavia Ave, Batavia, IL 60510). An entombment will be held on Thursday, November 5th 2026 at 2:30 PM at the River Hills Memorial Park (1650 S River St, Batavia, IL 60510).
