It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Edna Sue Mason (North Chicago, Illinois), who passed away on July 12, 2025, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Greathouse and Christine Greathouse; her husband Lee Mason Sr.; her siblings, Curtis, Luman, Elijah, Rayfield, Earnest Greathouse, Dorothy Davis and Lillie Burdine; and her grandmother Willie Ruth Greathouse.
She is survived by: her children, Kevin Jones Sr. and Kimberly Jones of Beach Park, IL; her stepchildren, Lee Mason Jr. and Lisa Dabney (Dillard) of Zion, IL; her grandchildren, Andre Brewton, Sheena Cruz, Alyssa Jones, Kyle Johnson, LaiJa Patton, Kevin Jones Jr., Makayla Jones, Jenae Williams, Destinee Jones, LaNea Patton, LaMere Patton of Kevin, L. C, Sapphie Jones and Alexis Jones of Taylor's Dabney; her siblings, Bobbie Russell of Waukegan, IL, Cecil Greathouse (Rita) of Round Lake, IL and Sandra Smith (Andre) of North Chicago, IL.; her son Victor Ransom (Vic); her niece Aumetris Johnson (Sam); her friends, Darlene "Doll" Mason, Charlotte Dowdell and Ora Hughes; Raniya, Kelynn, Aubrielle, Avery, Jamonte Jr., Darion Jr., Emery, Legend, Azariyah, Matthew Jr., Ahmir and Ezra. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
