He was predeceased by: his parents, Rev. Dewey Montgomery and Elsie Montgomery; and his siblings, Dorothy Porter, Quinon, Harold, Dewey Jr., Oscar and Douglas.
He is survived by: his sister Carol Beasley of Jacksonville, Florida; his goddaughter Kiyoko Porter; and his uncle Harold (Joann Patterson). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
