With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Robert G. Boyke of North Chicago, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 17, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Bernadine Glogovsky. He is survived by: his children, John (Jan), Diane, David (Kim), Robert and William (Christine); his grandchildren, Taylor, Brynne, Michael, Kevin, Jessica, Bobby and Johnny; his sisters, Louise Lippiatt and Agnes Reeder; his sister-in-law Jan Smith; Izzy.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 26th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Gurnee Salata Funeral Home (4190 Old Grand Ave, Gurnee, IL 60031). Viewing will be held on Monday, October 27th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM at the Queen of Peace Catholic Church (910 14th St, North Chicago, IL 60064). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, October 27th 2025 at the Ascension Cemetery (1920 W Buckley Rd, Libertyville, IL 60048).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to National Parks Conservation Association or National Geographic Society.
