It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William D. Simkins of North Henderson, Illinois, born in Rock Island, Illinois, who passed away on February 16, 2024, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert D. Simkins and Lois Lorraine Simkins (Warder); his son William D. Simkins; his stepfather Wendell Beachler; and his son-in-law Bruce Johnson.
He is survived by: his wife Karin Simkins of North Henderson; his children, Tina Fox (Rick) of Alexis, Tab Simkins of North Henderson, Tricia Meinen (Dennis) of Montrose, CO and Trent Simkins (Jeni) of Alexis; his grandchildren, Brian Johnson (Katelyn), Billy Johnson (Kate), Nate Johnson, Loren Fox, Brea Simkins, Kealy Stewart (Carter), Maggie Simkins (Lawson), Meagan Johnson, Tori Wieberg (Adam), Derek Meinen (Brittany) and Darin Meinen; his siblings, Janice Hintze of East Moline, IL, Gary Simkins of Alexis and Mike Simkins of New Boston, IL; his stepbrother Bob Beachler of Gonzales, LA; and his nephew Beau. He is also survived by 9 great grandchildren.
Memorials may be given to the Bill Simkins Memorial Fund and sent to the funeral home.
