He was loved and cherished by many people including: his children, Zina Zafrani (late Joseph), Luba Nascimento and Edita Shor (late Lev); his grandchildren, Michelle Gingis (Steven), Erica Shor (Eric Cantz), Eli Zafrani (Faigy), Simon Zafrani (Maria), Felix Zafrani, Michael Shor (Jessica), Avi Zafrani (Jeanette), Nathan Nascimento and Sofia Frischman (Meyer); his great grandchildren, Ahuva, Adina, Emuna, Aaron, Joseph, Ariel, Noa, Ella and Romy; and his brothers, Roman Guberman (Fanya) and Vladimir Guberman (Bella). He was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service was held on Monday, January 12th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Sunset Memorial (3100 Shermer Rd, Northbrook, IL 60062).
