In the vast expanse of eternity, Dennis shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Dennis farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Gordon Knipp and Dorothy Knipp (O'Donnell); his son Michael Knipp; and his son-in-law Justin Bates. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Gatziolis; his daughter Denise Knipp Bates of Mahomet; and his grandchildren, Hayden Bates and Morgan Bates.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 5th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Celestine Catholic Church (3020 N 76th Ct, Elmwood Park, IL 60707). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, June 5th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Elmwood Park. A committal service will be held on Thursday, June 5th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at the Elmwood Cemetery (2905 Thatcher Ave, River Grove, IL 60171).
In lieu of flowers or plants, the family requests that you celebrate Dennis' life with a donation to the High School of Saint Thomas More Baseball Team.
