It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Max Shaftal of Northbrook, Illinois, born in Havana, Illinois, who passed away on April 8, 2023, at the age of 66, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his mother Ofelia Shaftal; his sibling Jerry Shaftal; and his father-in-law Sonny Turner. He is survived by : his spouse Melany Shaftal; his sons, Alex Shaftal (Casey) and Zachary Shaftal (Sarah); his grandchildren, Penny, Jamie, Jude and Samuel; his father Bernardo Shaftal (Perla); his sister Jennifer Sulkin (Charles); his mother-in-law Marlene; and his brothers-in-law, Neil Turner (Mindy) and Kevin Turner (Lisa).
