With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of George A Sloane (Oak Brook, Illinois), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 23, 2026 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though George may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those George touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Slobodnik and Maria Slobodnik (Gilla); and his siblings, John E. Slobodnik, Joseph C. Sloane, Mary Gall and Irene DiFiglio.
He is survived by: his children, Paul and Nell Marie. He is also survived by nephews, nieces, and grandchildren.
