Helma B. Appel Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Helma B. Appel of Oak Brook, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, Helma shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Helma farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
She was predeceased by: her husband Robert; and her siblings, Anita Schneiderle (Adolf) and Hans Jurgen Hachenberger. She is survived by: her children, Debbi Zasada (Timothy) and Michelle Steiner (Edward); and her grandchildren, Jacob, Alexa and Robert.
Visitation was held on Saturday, August 30th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Gibbons Funeral Home (134 S York St, Elmhurst, IL 60126). A funeral service was held on Saturday, August 30th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, August 30th 2025 at the Mt. Emblem Cemetery (520 E Grand Ave, Elmhurst, IL 60126).
