He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth Upchurch and Mildred Upchurch (Brewner); his siblings, Don (Linda), Bill Upchurch and Barbara "Bunny" McDowell; and his brother-in-law Russell McDowell.
He is survived by: his wife Pat; his children, Julie Mastalerz (Ryan), Jeff and Jay; his grandchildren, Addison, Rowan, Marisa and Tyler; and his sister-in-law Ellie Upchurch. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, November 15th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at 2525 4th Ave, Rock Island, IL 61201.
