It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Roy Herrmann Messerschmidt (Oak Brook, Illinois), who passed away on May 5, 2020, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. He is survived by: his wife Yvonne Higgins; his children, Mara Morris (late Donald Morris), Stephen Messerschmidt (late Jeanine Messerschmidt) and Dionne Castillo (Antonio Castillo); his grandchildren, Lauren Morris (Rob Hunger), Alexandra Castillo and Jacqueline Smith (Gabriel); and his great grandchildren, Evan and Ayden Castillo.

In memory of Roy, memorial contributions may be given to the American Heart Association.
