It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sarah J. Hansen of Oak Forest, Illinois, who passed away on December 24, 2025, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. As Sarah departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Sarah may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Sarah leaves behind.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Edith Olenik and Joseph Moran; her stepfather Efim Olenik (Bill); and her son Robert Hansen. She is survived by: her husband Fred; her daughter Christine Knoerr (Peter); her grandsons, R. J. Knoerr and David Hansen; and her daughter-in-law Lissette Hansen.
