With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Van Zanten (Oak Forest, Illinois), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Van left this world on December 15, 2025 at the age of 86, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He was predeceased by: his parents, Tony Zanten and Fannie Van Zanten (Zwiers); and his siblings, Cornie Van Zanten (Wilma), John Van Zanten, Albertha Moorlag (Dick) and Vern Van Zanten.
He is survived by: his wife Donna; his children, Cami Haley (Taylor) of Onalaska and Kent Van Zanten (Priscilla) of Kildeer, Illinois.; his grandchildren, Jessica Haley Ortiz (Michelle), Charles Anthony "Chet" Haley (Kelsi), Hudson Haley (Rayane), Brianna Van Zanten, Kalyssa "Kiki" Van Zanten and Amelia "Mimi" Van Zanten; his great grandchild Kora Haley; his brother Albert Van Zanten (Harriet) of Rock Valley, Iowa; and his sisters-in-law, Mary Van Zanten and Geneva Van Zanten. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
