He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Maria "Esther"; his children, Benjamin Zarate (Gladys), Lorena Zarate-Wong (Andy) and Bianel Zarate (Ashley); his granddaughters, Isabella Dionicia Zarate, Vivian Siaw-Ching Wong, Karina Siaw-Yieng Wong and Brianna Zarate; and his caregiver Maximiliano Lopez (Martha).
