She was predeceased by: her parents, Sherman Blanden Sr. and Corena Blanden (Horton); and her husband Gene Gordon Sr.. She is survived by: her children, Walter, James D, Corena, Carrie Mae, Canary, Sherman Jr., Ansivela, Samuel, Carter, Hattie Mae, Anzolla Blanden, Gene Jr., Merial, Glen and Monica Gordon; her grandchildren, Austin, Asia (Delbert), Takara (Andre), Blake, Devonte, Armani, Dasha, Fredrick and Demetrius; and her great grandchildren, Malachi, Alexis, Autumn, Kayla, Kayden, Kylee, Kyrie, Dorian, Lauryn, Layla, Ma'layah, Bryson, Hakeem, Kiarmani, Ciaro, Kamryn and Nior. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 25th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Blake Lamb Funeral Home (4727 W 103rd St, Oak Lawn, IL 60453). A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 25th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
