She was predeceased by: her father Bernard Thome; and her brother James Thome. She is survived by: her mother Linda Thome; her husband William Melvin; her children, Matthew Melvin and Kara Melvin (Xavier); her granddaughter Lena Robles; her siblings, Carol Feldner (Patrick), Daniel Thome (Christina), Amy Bayon (Rodrigo) and Debra Thome; and her godchildren, Amy, Carly, Isabel and Jack. She is also survived by many loving brothers- and sisters-in-law. nieces, nephews, extended family members, and the many dear friends.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 11th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Blake-Lamb Funeral Home (4727 W 103rd St, Oak Lawn, IL 60453). A prayer will be held on Monday, October 12th 2026 from 10:15 AM to 10:30 AM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, October 12th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St Germaine Catholic Church (9711 S Kolin Ave, Oak Lawn, IL 60453).
