It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Leona M. Allen of Oak Lawn, Illinois, who passed away on April 17, 2024, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

As we bid Leona farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Leona is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.

She was loved and cherished by many people including : her sons, Robert L. Allen (Laura) and Gerald M. Allen (Mara Weil); her grandchildren, Nikolas (Alixa Sharkey), Tricia Allen, Lucy Allen and Grace Allen (Nathan Scheetz); and her great grandchild Manu Allen-Sharkey.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 24th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Blake-Lamb Funeral Home (4727 W 103rd St, Oak Lawn, IL 60453). A funeral service was held on Thursday, April 25th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, April 25th 2024 at the St. Mary Catholic Cemetery.
