She is survived by: her husband Robert; her children, Diane Zimmer (Michael Simkhin) of Oak Lawn, Illinois, Robert (Holly) of Lemont, Illinois, James of Chicago, Illinois, Alison Gemkow (Theodore) of La Grange, Illinois and Ann Bretzer (Richard) of La Grange, Illinois.; and her grandchildren, Liam, Moira, Dylan, Ellie, Michael, Sheila, Robert, James, Emilia, Cormac and Richard.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 10th 2026 at 10:15 AM at the Thompson & Kuenster Funeral Home (5570 W 95th St, Oak Lawn, IL 60453). A Mass was held on Thursday, September 10th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St. Linus Church (5570 W 95th St, Oak Lawn, IL 60453).

Memorials to WAGS (Wonderful Animals Giving Support) is the animal-assisted therapy program at Northwestern Medicine Palos Hospital in Palos Heights, Illinois.
