She was predeceased by: her parents, Jose Mena and Juanita Mena; her husband Howard H. Heft; and her siblings, Lupe, Pauly, Joey, Jessie, Mercy (John) and Mary.
She is survived by: her children, Don Southard, Jr., Wendy Morrissey (Bob) and Kenneth Heft (Megan); her grandsons, Bobby Morrissey (Mary), Matt Morrissey (Lizzie) and Johnny Morrissey; her great grandchildren, Theo Morrissey, Anna Morrissey, Charlie Morrissey and Graham Morrissey; and her sister Josie Nordhaus. She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and dear friends.
