He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. Edward Sheehan and Phyllis Sheehan; and his brothers, Edward, Phillip, Terrance and Thomas Sheehan.
He is survived by: his wife Joan K. Sheehan; and his sons, Seamus, Eamonn and Padraig. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews.
