We are sad to announce that on February 5, 2024 we had to say goodbye to Eileen Byrne Laux of Oak Park, Illinois, born in Scranton, Pennsylvania. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Terence J. Byrne and Maureen Byrne of Oak Park, Illinois.; her former life partner Mark Laux; and her partner Jerry Swegan of North Carolina. She is survived by : her children, John Laux of Bellevue, WA and Kathleen Laux (George Zilahi); her granddaughter Annabel Zilahi of Palmyra, NJ; her child Ryan Laux (Amanda) of Elmira, NY; her sister Kathy McCauley (Tom) of River Forest, Illinois; and her nephew Thomas Byrne McCauley (Kelly). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews; and many dear friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in her name to the Arctic League, P O Box 113, Elmira NY 14902.
