He is survived by: his siblings, Diane Van Grunsven (Richard), Don, Mary Pat Hestbeck (Ron), Jerry, Mike, Sheila Slifka and Maureen Winfrey (Dave); and his nieces and nephews, Gregory Van Grunsven (Christianne), Michelle Van Grunsven (Kyle Marcus), Cheryl Van Grunsven (Thomas Fondano), Erin Mielke (Jeff), Laura Nelson (Jordan), Kelly Terranova (Michael), Terry Jr. Newton (Alexis), Kristin Ruiz (Julio), Kyle Slifka (Stephannie), Shannon Slifka, Megan Michelsen (Kyle), Brandon Slifka (Tori), Kayla Winfrey and Mara Winfrey.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 18th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Edmund Catholic Church (188 S Oak Park Ave, Oak Park, IL 60302). A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 18th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorial donations may be made to Erna's Roadside Farmstand, established to assist with the ongoing expenses related to Patrick's niece, Erin, as she battles her six-year fight against lung cancer.
