He was predeceased by : his parents, Walter and Catherine; and his siblings, Kathy and Raymond. He is survived by : his brothers, James and Joseph. He is also survived by many nephews, nieces, great nephews and great niece.

“Joe, Jim, and family members, Ellie and I have so many good memories of you, Richard, and your folks. When I moved to the block in 1967, Richard was 17! We were welcomed by your folks and gradually got better acquainted with you all. We were so inspired by your folks gardening, especially your dad's way with plants, some which he shared with us. Among others we still have angel wing begonias started with a plant he gave to us. Richard carried on his tradition, much appreciated.”
