It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rita Ford Guernsey of Oak Park, Illinois, who passed away on March 17, 2026, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Leo J. Ford and Grace Garin Ford; her husband Anthony H. Guernsey; and her siblings, Mary Ford Owen, Rose Ford Cummins, Bill, Jim and Jerry Ford.
She is survived by: her children, Julia E. Guernsey (Michael Love) of Austin, TX, Michael A. Guernsey (Xolaira Ayala) of Phoenix, AZ and Sarah E. Guernsey (Richard Holland) of Oak Park, IL; and her grandchildren, Abigail, Jack Kappelman, Isabel Love, Xolange Montilla Ayala, Max and Hank Holland.
