He was predeceased by: his parents, William Joseph and Lawrence Hazel Maples (Harmon); his wife Nancy Jo Durbin; his son Michael J. Maples Sr.; and his grandson Michael J. Maples Jr. Harold.

He is survived by: his children, Regina Hays and William Maples Sr.; his grandchildren, Mark Maples, Melinda Gano, Melissa Harris (Katie) and William Maples Jr.; and his great grandchildren, Jason Gano, Olivia Long and Luke Gano.

For those who wish, memorials may be made to the family in care of Regina Hays.
