It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dortha Wade of Oakwood, Illinois, who passed away on January 17, 2026, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Beasley and Nellie Beasley (Forbes); her husband Ralph C. Wade; her son Carlos Wade; and her brothers, Jack Beasley, Stirman Fulkerson and Russell Fulkerson.
She is survived by: her children, Tony Wade (Carlia) of Oakwood, IL, Rob Wade of Oakwood, IL, Regina Knight of Oakwood, IL and Debbie Drew (Paul) of Tucson, AZ; her sister Benita Gale Lowe of Cold Springs, KY; her grandchildren, James Wade (Tracy), Lori Ware (Darren), Dixie Wade, Travis Wade, Shane Wade, Shawn Wade (Amanda), Michelle King (Andrew), Luke Knight and Delaney Drew; and her close friend Lucy Woodard (Karen Kinney) of Oakwood, IL. She is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren, two great great-grandchildren.
Memorial donations may be made to the Oakwood Library or to St Judes Children's Research Hospital.
