Edwin Dreher Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Edwin Dreher of Oakwood, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 4, 2025 at the age of 87. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Edwin Dreher to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar Dreher and Sarah Dreher (VanCamp); his stepson Neil Culpepper; his son-in-law Bryan Cannon; his nephew Bill Demos; and his brother-in-law Ed Nuku.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley Sanders of Oakwood, IL; his daughters, Cathi Saunders of Indianapolis, IN and Connie Cannon of Georgetown, IL; his stepson Derek Sanders (Erin) of Henning, IL; his granddaughter Emily Murray (Colton) of Georgetown; his great grandchildren, Vyla and Mayra; and his sisters, Brenda Demos of Danville and Mary Nuku of Ludlow. He is also survived by 20 nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center (3940 N Vermilion St, Danville, IL 61834). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
