He was predeceased by : his parents, Frank Hathaway and Vergie Hathaway (Sprouls). He is survived by : his children, Heather Aquino (Justin Lenfesty) of Oakwood and Kyle Hathaway of Danville; his grandchildren, Norah, Odin Aquino and Bryce Ellis; his brother James Hathaway (Jeanne); his sisters-in-law, Debbie Goble and Vickie Combs; and also Chad Combs (Penny) of Iowa.

Memorials in Jerry's name may be made to the National Coalition for Homeless Veterans.
