He was predeceased by : his parents, Claude Groce and Love Groce (Jennings); his wife Beulah Buss; and his son John Groce. He is survived by : his daughters, Mary Reed (Dennis) of Oakwood and Cindy Fairchild (Tracy) of Oakwood. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.

Memorials can be made in his name to the ALS Foundation.
